Adrian Foster Selected as Fashion | Panåche Designer of the Year (2011)
San Francisco, California; Port of Spain, Trinidad (December 23, 2011): ENASHA PHOTOGRAPHY is pleased to announce the selection of Trinidadian designer, Adrian Wendell Foster, as Fashion | Panåche designer of year (2011). Selected from a short list of four talented and well-regarded designers, Adrian’s work was deemed outstanding in five evaluative categories:
Utility of the Designs
During September 2011, ENASHA PHOTOGRAPHY visited the Eastern Caribbean island of Trinidad, where in partnership with Christopher Nathan of the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design, Akilah Carty of Holiday Fun Pageants, and a few other selected fashion and design luminaries, a series of photo shoots featuring the work of emerging designers, models, makeup artists, and performing artists were completed over a ten-day period. Mr. Foster’s avant-garde designs were showcased by models Diana Quashie and Rachel John.
Upon return to California, a review team began poring over hundreds of images. From the initial four designers, two finalists were selected. After a careful set of reviews, Adrian was selected. Notwithstanding, the second finalist’s work was also highly regarded.
Adrian will begin work with our artistic director on the design of his winning hardcover professionally bound print portfolio of his Fashion | Panåche work. The completed publication will be officially presented to him in February 2012. A published portfolio of his work will also be deposited at the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design, where he is currently a student. Additionally, Adrian's work will also be a part of a planned gallery display in the San Francisco Bay Area during the Spring 2012 gallery season.
The Fashion | Panåche team wishes to offer heartfelt congratulations to Adrian on his outstanding work. You may visit his full gallery here.
