Celebrated Fashion Director, Christopher Nathan, Becomes

Fashion | Panåche Partner

He’s a veritable household name in Trinidad & Tobago’s burgeoning fashion industry. But his acclaim extends beyond his native Trinidad, beyond the Caribbean region, to the global fashion community.

Over the past twenty-five years, Christopher Nathan has worked professionally in the Aviation, Hospitality and Fashion industries throughout the Caribbean region. He has continuously proven his ability to multi-task and efficiently managed a variety of projects, from conception to implementation, using sound planning and organizational skills. He holds the distinction of being the first male flight attendant and Cabin Crew Officer with the national airline of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, BWIA West Indies Airways, flying for 23 years until the closure of the airline.

Equally noteworthy is his active role inaugurating several fashion organizations. He launched Coco Velvet International Fashion & Model Management in 1997, the Fashion Association of Trinidad & Tobago in 2007, the Caribbean Academy of Fashion & Design at the University of Trinidad & Tobago in 2008, and the Fashion Association of St. Vincent & the Grenadines in 2010.

Coco Velvet International has produced several high profile fashion events under his direction, including Makin’ Style Trinidad & Tobago Fashion Collections, Top Model Trinidad & Tobago, Tobago Top Model, MasterCard Fashion Month and Tobago Fashion Collections.

He is a board member of the Fashion Association of Trinidad & Tobago (FATT) and the Caribbean Fashion Industry Forum; the T&T National Director of the Elite International Model Look Contest and the Miss North Coast Beauty Pageant. In 1999 he joined the production management team for the Miss Universe Pageant as a Stage Manager and Assistant Choreographer under Scott Grosman. In 2001 Nathan worked with Pulse Investment in Jamaica as a Senior Production Associate and Director of Music Coordination for the launch of Caribbean Fashion Week; positions he held until 2006. Nathan is currently the programme Administrator of Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design at the University of Trinidad & Tobago. He is also the Choreographer of Miss Trinidad & Tobago Universe Pageant.

Mr. Nathan will play a primary role in the selection of Fashion | Panåche models and designers for the September 2011 activities in Trinidad & Tobago.

We welcome Christopher to Fashion | Panåche.
